We’re having our Captain Cook / Kealakekua workshops and classes at the SKEA – Society for Kona’s Education and Art, which is right off Mamalehua Highway, on the makai side (the ocean side of the road), in South Kona, about 25 minutes south of Kailua Kona.
The studio area is well-lit, airy, and spacious. It is at a cool elevation, and is year-round comfortable for classes. (You’ll get a “glow,” not a perspiration “sweat.” And ladies like to “glow.”)
The studio has a smooth wooden floor – recently done and a pleasure for dance movements! Also, there is a nice wall of mirrors!
The studio has immediate / easy access off Mamalahoa Highway, and there is ample parking and easy access all around the studio.
If you are coming from a distance for a workshop or extended class, you can get lunch at the Menehune Coffee Shop, which is just a few hundred yards north on Mamalahoa, and which serves excellent food and GREAT coffee!
